CAREER SUMMARY
I have been around the block once or twice, having spent a full decade in multinational advertising agencies and another one as a branding & communication entrepreneur. Throughout that time I was under constant pressure to generate ideas, and to get my teams to generate ideas. I received a lot of training, I learned a lot and taught a lot (the latter including University for the past five years). And the one thing I love more than having my imagination challenged - and conquering that challenge - is teaching others the skill to do it.
MY STORY
I am the daughter of an actor and an engineer, so both my emotional and my rational intelligence were well-nurtured in the family. Going through school, my excellent grades in the Humanities remained constant as I enjoyed my imagination ever expanding and my artistic side flourishing, while my performance in the exact Sciences decreased as I was losing interest in and patience with the dry communist syllabus. I fiercely wanted to become an actress up until 16 years old, when a serious Dad-daughter talk finally persuaded me to look for an alternative that would suit me better. After sizeable introspections, I decided that would be teaching. It is like being an actor, because you're also on a "stage", acting in front of an audience, sharing. It is, however, more rewarding and fulfilling: the audience feedback is immediate and much more articulate, plus you can convey facts and reason as well as emotion.
So I went on to study English and Romanian languages and literatures, convinced I'd end up a teacher. And it's only taken me a two-decades detour through advertising, branding, communication and entrepreneurship to get here. Only now I can share so much more.
